Alfred Lloyd Montoya passed away on December 7, 2018, at the age of 61. Alfred was born in Durango, Colorado on May 2, 1957. He was the son of Antonio and Mary Olga Montoya, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him was a sister Nanette Montoya. Surviving are his siblings, Dante Montoya of Richland WA, Anthony Montoya of Toole Utah, Scott and Arlese Smith of Farmington, NM. He was an Uncle, Great Uncle and Cousin to many. Alfred loved his life growing up in the Four Corners area, especially the Colorado Mountains. He loved fishing, skiing, four wheeling and his motorcycles. He loved cars and learned the craft of auto mechanics while working at Our father's service station. He loved and enjoyed our family vacations. His favorite was our Tias rancho in Matamoros Mexico and South Padres Beaches. Alfred was always happy with a smile on his face. He loved spending time with his niece and nephews. He was his Sisters Protector, and was always helping others. The city was his demise. Our parents brought him home, protected and cared for him, until they were no longer able. Arlese then took over caring for him, keeping him safe and comfortable at home, until his passing. He will be greatly missed by many.
