Alice Faye Wiggins

Alice Faye Wiggins, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 16, 2024. Known as Faye to friends or Sissy to Family.

Faye was born September 1, 1945, in Farley, New Mexico to Monty and Lois McCarty. Lois and Monty welcomed fraternal twins, Alice Faye and Jimmy Ray. 

Faye went to school in Farley through her senior year. She played basketball and was a cheerleader. She graduated in 1964. On September 17, 1964, she married her husband, Charles Wiggins. They have three children, Anna, Jodi and Eddie. Their early years were spent farming. One year she spent her time bottle feeding orphan lambs, with the money she earned, she bought a used Buick. Her and Charles moved their children to Aztec from Springer, New Mexico in 1974. 

Faye remained a housewife until Charles job took them back to Clayton, New Mexico in 1981. It was there she joined the work force as a receptionist for a chiropractor. With her children all grown the couple moved back to Aztec in 1984. Faye worked at First National bank for a couple of years then found her calling to be a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home. It was there that she finished her career and retired. Charles and Faye were able to travel both in nearby states to visit family. Their greatest adventure was to Yellowstone and up through Canada and onto Alaska. This was the trip of a lifetime for them. It took six weeks for this journey.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, parents, Monty and Lois McCarty, brother, Darwin McCarty, sisters, Maxine, Ruth, Dell and Ida.

Faye is survived by her son, Donald Edward Wiggins (Deandra), daughters, Anna Marie Wiggins and JoAnn Tucker, brothers, Ray McCarty ( Georgie) and Leo McCarty (Mary), grandchildren, Shasta Rybarczyk (Al), Chad Kaiser (Vanessa), Mathew Wiggins (Lacy), Branden Wiggins (Jasmine), Olivia Scott, Aaron and Dallas Tucker, great grandchildren, Ethan and Mila Kaiser, Serenity and Dasten Wiggins, Roman and Breyer Wiggins, Carter and Kelse Scott, numerous nieces and nephews.

Monday, September 23, 2024 
Visitation: 9:30 a.m. ~ Service: 10:00 a.m. 
Bethel Baptist Church 
201 Heiland Rd 
Aztec, New Mexico

Interment following the service at Aztec Cemetery.
