Cole Natoni Quintero, 28, of Gallup, New Mexico, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018. He was born on September 28, 1989, in Gallup, to Vincent and Jeanette Francisco Quintero. He was Hasht lish nii (Mud Clan) / Tódich'ii'nii (Bitter Water Clan) and born for the Walker River Paiute tribe. Cole graduated from Gallup High School in 2008, and was attending Central New Mexico College majoring in Business Administration. Cole was accepted to the University of New Mexico-Albuquerque and planned to attend in the fall to complete his degree in Business Administration. He was preceded in death by his sister Tracie Renee, grandparents; Natoni and Mary A. Francisco and Pancho Quintero. Survivors include his parents; Vincent and Jeanette; sister, Dana Quintero all of Gallup, grandmothers Alfreda Quintero of Schurz, Nevada and Della Francisco of Otis, New Mexico. Cole had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces from the Four Corners area and throughout Nevada. He also considered many at Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico, family as well. Cole participated in various sports throughout his life such as Little League baseball, TDFL football, and the GHS tennis and swim teams. He also played the saxophone in the Gallup High School marching band. Cole truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: spending time with friends and family, cooking with his sister, and living life. He was always exploring various avenues and ideas to put his college business classes to use. Cole enjoyed traveling to Nevada to spend time with his family there each year, ever since he was a baby. Cole had a sharp wit, humor, and was a jokester. He was a trendsetter with the latest gadgets and slick clothes. He had a keen sense of social justice and was thoughtful and empathetic towards others. He had the ability to communicate with people in a deep and positive way. Cole was loved and he will be dearly missed by his many friends and family. Pallbearers are his cousins, nephew, and friends: Ben Francisco, Phillip Francisco, Matthew Francisco, Alex Francisco, Justin Francisco, Troy Ellison, Lux Magys, and Ryan Acothley. Honorary Pallbearers are Leo Francisco, David Francisco, Anthony Francisco, Michaela Kay, Tiffani Benally, Jennifer Francisco, Kimberly Francisco, and Randall Quintero. Services will be held on Monday June 25, 2018 10:00 a.m. at Brewer Lee and Larkin Funeral Home with burial at Memory Gardens, both located in Farmington, New Mexico. Family and friends will be received at Brookside Park in Farmington following services.
