David Eugene Fiorini, 66
David Eugene Fiorini, 66 went to Heaven where he won his race on Monday, November 6, 2018 in Farmington, NM. David was born in Durango, Colorado on June 25, 1952 to Raymond and Edna (Dinsmore) Fiorini.
David grew up in Durango and graduated from Durango High School in 1970. He went on to attend Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. He had various lawn mowing and newspaper delivery jobs. He later worked at Waters Gas Station on Main St. in Durango. He went on to sell Kirby Vacuums in Durango before moving to Tucson, AZ. In 1974 he married Alita (Crites) Fiorini in Durango CO, where they lived for a year before moving to Greely CO. There he ran a successful Kirby distributorship, winning trips all over the country. They moved to Montrose, CO to open a new Kirby store in 1976. With the opportunity to run the Family business of Monuments Sales in Farmington, NM, they moved in 1978. He worked at this job until 1980 when MS became too difficult.
Dave was an avid Motorcycle Rider. He was Colorado State Champ in the 250 Class Motorcross in 1976. He rode motorcross every chance he got even putting on the races when they first started in Aztec, NM He was so crazed with motorcycles that our Honeymoon was to Albuquerque, NM where we went dirt bike riding. He always made sure I had a dirt bike too and that I could keep up with his buddies. He rode street bikes as soon as he could get enough clothes on to not freeze to death. He fought the good fight of Faith until he won his race on Monday and rode into Heaven with his Savior.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Alita Fiorini, his sister Jean Fiorini and various cousins, aunts and uncles. And especially his dear friends that are family.
Celebration of his life memorial service will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 2 PM at The Oasis Church 1601 Dustin Ave., Farmington, NM 87402.
