Irene Gonzales, 81, went home to her heavenly Father on June 21st, 2022. As a Christmas blessing, she came into this world on December 25, 1940. She continued to be a blessing to all those around her throughout her life, especially to Amador, her loving husband of 65 years. Irene was a women of strong faith, and raised six children to be the same. Before her illness, Irene never missed a chance to lend a hand to those in need. She truly lived the beatitudes and the works of mercy. Everyone who knew her will remember her smile and warm greeting when she saw you. She would treat you like the most important person in the world.
Irene was proceeded in death by her beautiful daughter Sugie, her great grandson Chase Altman, her parents Tito and Irene Gallegos, brothers Agapito, Raymond, and Paul Gallegos, and sister Julia Gonzales. Irene is survived by her loving husband, Amador, who took amazing care of her and always made her feel like a Queen. Her sister Nieves (John) Richey, Brothers Tito (Peggy) and John (Ruth) Gallegos. Children Ilene Saiz, Alvin (Rosanne) Gonzales, Carla (Gary) Ward, Barbara (Doug) Simmons, and Andy (Marla) Gonzales. 12 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren, all of whom she absolutely adored. She is also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family. She was always loved and will be missed so much.
A rosary will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Farmington on Monday, June 27th at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Mary’s on Tuesday, June 28th at 11am. Interment at Aztec Cemetery next to her Daughter Sugie. Reception to follow at St. Mary’s hall. Pallbearers are Brian Saiz, Travis Kleinhans, Coty Kleinhans, Mark Gammon, Timothy Ward, and Andrew Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers are Tito Gallegos, John Gallegos, John Richey, Christopher Collins, Josh Simmons, Johnny Leyva, Waddy Altman, her Granddaughters and all of her great Grandchildren.
