John Robert Saiz , 47
John Saiz , our beloved husband, father, grandfather aka Poppa and brother lost his brave battle with cancer on Wednesday October 10, 2018.
We will miss his enthusiasm for life and his dry sense of humor. John loved his family, extended family and the family of friends, he has built over the years that meant a great deal to him. We are comforted that he was able to walk his daughter down the aisle for her wedding in June and have one last summer.
John enjoyed rock crawling in his Jeep/Razor, riding his Harley, bow hunting, camping and drinking beer with his friends. His friends have described him as a loyal, stand up, larger than life man, protector and mentor. We heard many stories this week of the positive way John made people feel.
There were many, many people that were special to John, his nephew Jarrod Mitchell, held a special place in his heart as did his grandson, Alex. We are sure John will be watching over both of you, just in a different way now. Let his love for you comfort your hearts and make him proud of the men you are destined to become because of his influence.
John spent of 25+ years working in the oil and gas industry. We are grateful to his current employer, BP of 10+ years for their generous support and empathy thru John’s illness.
Johns family would like to thank all the extraordinary relatives and friends that were there for John and his family through his battle. You know who you are and you will always be remembered to us for the kindness and generosity of your incredible hearts. Your truly are angels and John was blessed to have you in his life.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Elsie Saiz. He is survived by his wife Susan, son Lorin, daughter Victoria, son-in-law Hector Quintana and cherished grandson Alex. Sisters Durella Saiz, Jan Saiz-Aragon, Valerie Saiz and brother Carlos Saiz. He also leaves behind bother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, 14 nieces and nephews, 6 grand nieces nephews, uncles and aunts and many cousins all of whom he loved.
