June Elizabeth (Ozmun) McCrary

June Elizabeth Ozmun McCrary of Farmington, New Mexico
June passed into eternal life on June 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Lester McCrary, and daughter Patti McCrary Ramsey.
June is survived by her daughter Diane Ayers (Ray), 3 grandsons, Jason Ayers, Bryan
Ayers, and Zachary Ramsey, 5 great grandchildren, her sister Attie Bryant, brother
Marvin Ozmun (Lee Ann), and many nieces and nephews.
June was an active member in her church and loved all those in her fellowship. Her
love for the Lord was her anchor, strength, and joy throughout her long life.
June's life was full of adventure. June was born on June 18, 1922 in Texline, Texas to
Oren and Lorene Ozmun. Her family moved to Albuquerque to escape the Dust
Bowl, which she vividly remembered. During World War II, June was a Harvey Girl,
living and working at the Alvarado in Albuquerque. In 2009, at the age of 86, the
Albuquerque Museum filmed a documentary of June's Harvey Girl memories and
featured her in the Museum's exhibit, "Albuquerque's Alvarado Hotel".
June loved to be outside and, at the age of 93, was still working in her many flower
gardens and arranging her extensive rock collection.
In her last two years, being wheelchair bound, she spent her days praying for all her
loved ones and those from her beloved fellowship. You could always count on June
to pray for anyone who asked for prayer.
June was blessed with good health and a long life, living alone in her own home until
her death. Her family is grateful to Clee Staley and Joan Peterman, her wonderful
caregivers, who made it possible for her to remain home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Sunday June 24, 2018 at Brewer Lee and
Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute Street, Farmington, New Mexico.
