Larry Roy Lance, 67, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018. He was born December 2, 1950 in York, Nebraska to Verle and Darleen Lance.
Larry graduated from Palo Verde High School in Blythe, California and married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Collier, February 20, 1971. They moved to Durango, Colorado to work in the family business of running Golden West Mobile Home Park in 1973. Larry and his family moved to Bloomfield in 1980 and grew their business through Lance's Home Sales and Service and Aspen Home Service and Transporting.
Larry enjoyed playing golf, watching NASCAR, going to the horse races, cheering for the Denver Broncos, hunting, camping and going on road trips on the Harley. He loved being on the boat at the lake and fishing at the river. He will be remembered as a hard worker that was dedicated to his wife, family, friends and career.
Larry is survived by his wife, Sharon Lance and their three children, Nicole (Marty) DeHerrera of Bloomfield; Lana (Brian) Duran of Farmington and Chad (Jennica) Lance of Bloomfield. His children gave him 10 precious grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren on the way. He is also survived by his father, Charles Hassen of Moab, Utah; brothers Terry Lance of Moab, Utah and Randy Hassen of Elko, Nevada; sister, Sherry (John) Jackson of Moab, Utah; and mother-in-law, Kathryn Collier of Bloomfield, New Mexico.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Verle Lance of Gresham, Nebraska and mother, Darleen Hassen of Moab, Utah, and his father-in-law, Kenneth Collier of Bloomfield, New Mexico.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 18 at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home located at 103 East Ute in Farmington with Deacon Pat Valdez as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Chad Lance, Marty DeHerrera, Andrew DeHerrera, Austin DeHerrera, Brian Duran, Damian Duran and Dominic Duran.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kayla DeHerrera, Avenicia DeHerrera, Devinee Duran, Bryce Lance, Brody Lance and Briley Lance.
