Maria Flora (Talamante) Martinez
February 28, 1920 ~ November 15,2018

Maria was born in Edith, Colorado, on February 28, 1920, to Fermin Talamante and Alejandrina Garcia Talamante.
She passed from this life on November 15, 2018, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, due to cancer. She loved to work
with beads, make glass flowers, and blankets. Drawing was her favorite hobby. Our Mother, Grandmother and
sister will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Pedro Talamante and second husband, Jose Silverio Martinez; her
parents, Fermin and Alejandrina Talamante, son LeRoy and daughter in law, Stella Talmante; grandson, Elvis
Talamante; great granddaughters, Miranda Maes and Cristy Nicole Talamante; sister, Ferminia Duran; father and
mother in law, Alfredo and Angelita Talamante.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Fermin (Mary Lou) Talarnante and Orlando (JoAnn) Talamante; two daughters, Nancy
Valdez and Grace (Jose) Romero; and a grandson she raised as her own, Ross Maes. She is also survived by
grandsons; Benjie, Ramon, Duane, Peter, Silviano, Elvis and Toby Talamante, Ronald, Leroy Sanders, Jose Jr.,
Timothy Romero, David Silva, Orlando, Jeremy, Moses and Jacob Talamante; and granddaughters; Stella, and
Charlene Talamante, Jessica Romero, Prescilla Cocron, Natalie Gonzales and Deseri Cerna. Also, 4 brothers; Isidro
Talamante, Alfredo (Beatris) Talamante, Filimon (Rose) Talamante, Cristobal (Flores) Talamante; 2 sisters; Adonelia
Talamante and Rosalia Alcon. She is also survived by 49 great grandchildren, 40 great-great grandchildren;
goddaughter, Dorothy Maestas and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, whom she loved dearly. GOD

A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Lumberton, New
Mexico. Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 21, at 9:00 a.m., also at St. Francis Catholic Church, followed
by burial at the Talamante Cemetery in Edith, Colorado. Pallbearers are Robert Talamante, Fermin Talamante,
Marino Talamante, Max Talamante and Godsons, Ted Talmante and Silvia no Talamante. Honorary pallbearers are
Ross Maes, Albert Maestas and the rest of her grandchildren. Maria's care is entrusted to Brewer, Lee and Larkin
