Robert LeRoy Hawkins

Robert (Bob), was born in Lynwood, CA. He was 81 years old. His father was Robert G. Hawkins, and his mother was Roberta J. Greene. 

Bob's 1st marriage ended in the death of his wife Shirley "Hawkins" maiden name unknown. They had 3 children, Martin Hawkins who is deceased, Lisa Weisenborn and Erick Hawkins, both live in CA.

Robert then married KamLai Khammalun from Thailand, November 8, 2003, in Visalia, CA. He has a step-daughter Naiuemon Khammalun also from Thailand. Robert and LamLai moved from Visalia CA to Bloomfield, NM in 2005.

Robert served in the US Army from July 10, 1961- June 26, 1964. He was discharged under Honorable Conditions. He was very proud to call himself an Army Veteran.

Anyone who knew Bob; family, friends or his Veteran Brothers and Sisters would tell you that his grin was his most rememberable feature. Bob will be missed by many, but I believe that his Army cap with paratrooper pin, his hand made cane with unit pin attached to it, and his combat boots will miss him the most. They traveled with him everywhere every day. Not to mention his large keyring that hung from his belt, that held a pocketknife, p-38 "for just in case" and a ton of keys. We are still trying to find out what they belong to. So, if anyone has lost a key, and Bob found it, PLEASE let us know, it might be one of those many unknow keys.
