Shirley Arlene Hunt Ulibarri our favorite lady, beloved mother, grandmother and great- grandmother left our family to be with her Heavenly Father and those loved ones who have gone on before. Shirley Arlene age 88 died quietly and peacefully in her home May 18, 2018. She loved her family and many were close at hand to say good-bye. Shirley was born on October 12, 1929 to Lucinda Rodgers and John William Hunt. She married the love of her life Arthur Joseph Ulibarri on May 29, 1951. At the time of her passing they were a few days from celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary.She is survived by her husband Arthur Ulibarri, 3 sons Antoni (Alice), Mark (Vicki) and Vince (Karlene) and 1 daughter Cindy (Dewey) 14 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. They raised their family at the EPNG San Juan River Plant in Kirtland New Mexico.Shirley worked as the secretary for 30 plus years at the Ruth N. Bond Elementary School. Where she was affectionatly know to the students as Miss Liberty.Shirley was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had many callings in the church and was faithful to the end of her life. She and Arthur served several missions including Dulce, Guatemula, and Bolivia. After their missions she continued her service for several years at the Family History Center. She will be greatly missed by her husband family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am May 24, 2018 at the LDS church 1310 E 25th St. (Knudsen Chapel) a private burial will have already taken place.
