Passed from this life Monday August 13, 2018 in Farmington, NM after a long battle with Diabetes.
Steven was born March 9, 1965 in Farmington, NM to Lawrence Joel Stock and Mary Rosalee (Stevens) Stock. Steven was proceeded in death by his Paternal Grand Parents: Oliver Stock and Minnie (Evans) Stock, and Maternal Grandparents: Robert Stevens and Mary Mildred (Lee) Stevens. His surviving Family: Two Sisters: Shelly (Stock) Halling and husband Marvin, and Stephanie (Stock) Fourr and Husband Daniel. Six children: Jessica (Stock) Morris (Cameron,) Derrick (Carol,) Jarred (Jessica,) Kendra (Stock) Colomb (Johnny,) Darryl, and Alex. Seven grandchildren: Braydin, Anasophia, Aiden, Saylor, Bennett, Derrick, and Jase. Also, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews.
For thirty-eight years, Steven was a major influence in the lives of many, as he served in the San Juan County Valley Fire Department. Through his years of service, he gave many hours and served selflessly to the department and to the community. He also spent his days, farming the fields and grounds to help the family farm progress and continue. If there was ever a man that could take a desert and make it grow, Steven was that man. He loved the farm, he loved the Fire department, he loved his country, and most importantly, he loved his family. His family, friends, and colleagues looked up to him as an example of hard work and will dearly miss him.
For those that would like to pay respects and condolences, there will be a public viewing Saturday August 18th 2018, at 9:00am, followed by the funeral services at 10:00am. These services will be held at the LDS Stake Center in Kirtland NM. #10 6523 Kirtland New Mexico. Steven will be buried in the Kirtland Cemetery following the services.
